Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2016, $500,000)
The recipient will utilize the FY 16 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant program carve-out funds to defray the law enforcement costs associated with the December 2, 2015, terrorist attack in San Bernardino County, California, that killed 14 people and injured 22 more at the Inland Regional Center. Funds will be used to reimburse state and local agencies in direct support of the San Bernardino area for overtime and regular salary costs. The California SAA will not retain any funds for administrative costs (not allowed for this grant), but instead will pass through the entire award amount (up to $500,000) to said state and local agencies. The State must provide reimbursement that is proportionate to both state and local agencies in direct support of the San Bernardino area. NCA/NCF.
