With this solicitation, the Bureau of Justice Assistance seeks to support training and technical assistance providers assisting states and jurisdictions to use the Justice Reinvestment Initiative (JRI) to enhance the fairness, effectiveness, and efficiency of their criminal justice system. JRI’s flexible, tailored, and data-driven approach helps states identify and implement policies that are customized to address each state’s specific challenges and the unique structure and dynamics within each of their systems.
Eligible Applicants:
- Public- and state-controlled institutions of higher education
- Native American tribal organizations (other than federally recognized tribal governments)
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Private institutions of higher education
- For-profit organizations other than small businesses
- Small businesses
