Overview

The Office of Justice Programs funds and administers Second Chance Act (SCA) grants, with the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) awarding SCA grants serving adults and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention awarding SCA grants serving youth.

Corrections and Medicaid Resources

The Health and Reentry Project has developed materials to support the corrections field in implementing new continuity of care requirements for Medicaid-eligible youth and young adults in adult correctional facilities. These resources provide correctional leaders with operational guidance on key elements of implementation, insights on where corrections administrators should start, answers to frequently asked questions about the policies, and targeted resources for leadership.
