Tribal justice

The Project Safe Neighborhoods Program brings together federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial law enforcement officials, prosecutors, community-based partners, and other stakeholders to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in a community and develop comprehensive solutions to address them.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to support the families of fallen and catastrophically injured law enforcement officers, firefighters, and other first responders by providing assistance with filing applications for federal benefits for line-of-duty deaths and catastrophic injuries.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to provide jurisdictions with resources to address unsubmitted sexual assault kits, improve investigations and prosecutions, provide sites with resources to collect DNA samples from qualifying individuals, and more.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks seeks to support new and innovative strategies for preventing and reducing crime, improving community safety, and strengthening criminal justice system outcomes.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to enhance the capacity of regulatory and law enforcement agencies and public health officials to collect and analyze controlled substance prescription data and other scheduled chemical products through a centralized database administered by an authorized agency.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to support state, local, and tribal jurisdictions as they develop or expand their ability to utilize crime gun intelligence by equipping them with the tools and personnel they need.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to enhance the capacities of state, local, territorial, and tribal criminal justice systems to prevent, investigate, and respond to economic, high-technology, white collar, and internet crimes by delivering training and technical assistance to diverse stakeholders.

This solicitation will build on the current training and technical assistance support for the National Ashanti Alert Program and will assist BJA in completing the elements set forth in the Ashanti Alert Act for the development, implementation, and maintenance of this national alert system to assist with the reporting and location of missing adults over the age of 17.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to support state, local, and tribal law enforcement and prosecution agencies, and their community partners, to address hate crimes by establishing a coordinated hate crimes resource center.
