Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2015, $1,999,888)
The goal of the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Body-Worn Camera (BWC) Pilot Implementation Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Program is to provide a comprehensive array of products and TTA delivery options to improve the chances of successful implementation and enhancement of BWCs among grantees and the rest of the law enforcement community.
The TTA provider will:
1) Deliver TTA services by determining initial technological capacities and TTA needs of the BWC grantees, providing targeted training and technical assistance, developing and disseminating information on BWC solutions and standards and convening BWC grantees for TTA meetings; and
2) Identify and advance promising practices of the BWC program by sharing BWC research and promising practices, promoting the increase of promising practices and supporting the assessment of the BWC program.
