National Partners
The National Partners page provides a directory of organizations playing a significant role in the planning, development, implementation, and expansion of information sharing systems within the justice community. Each is an excellent source of information when considering or implementing an information sharing or technology integration initiative.
American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA)
AAMVA is a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization striving to develop model programs in motor vehicle administration, police traffic services, and highway safety. The Association serves as an information clearinghouse for these disciplines and acts as the international spokesman for these interests.
American Correctional Association (ACA)
ACA serves all disciplines within the corrections profession and is dedicated to excellence in every aspect of the field. ACA offers services from professional development and certifications to standards and accreditation, from networking and consulting to research and publications, and from conferences and exhibits to technology and testing.
American Probation and Parole Association (APPA)
APPA is an international association composed of individuals from the United States and Canada actively involved with probation, parole, and community-based corrections in both adult and juvenile sectors. All levels of government, including local, tribal, state/provincial, legislative, executive, judicial, and federal agencies are counted among its constituents.
Association of State Correctional Administrators (ASCA)
ASCA is dedicated to the improvement of correctional services and practices through promoting and facilitating the exchange of ideas and philosophies at the top administrative level of correctional planning and policymaking.
Conference of State Court Administrators (COSCA)
The mission of COSCA is to provide a national forum to assist state court administrators in the development of a more just, effective and efficient system of justice.
Corrections Technology Association (CTA)
The mission of CTA is to provide an association of and a forum for technology executives serving the corrections field to address challenges, promote information sharing, and advise on emerging technologies affecting corrections.
Council of State Governments (CSG)
As individual states take on more responsibility, they are finding that it pays to share resources, strategies and ideas for doing all that needs to be done. One resource they have counted on since 1933 is the Council of State Governments.
Information Technology Industry Council (ITIC)
ITIC is an organization with a mission of promoting self-regulation and addressing privacy concerns within the information technology industry.
Integrated Justice Information Systems (IJIS) Institute
The IJIS Institute is a nonprofit organization with a mission to contribute to the successful implementation of integrated justice information systems nationwide by promoting the expertise, knowledge, and experience of the IT industry in a way that benefits both industry and the public sector. The IJIS Institute, through its member firms, brings significant expertise to the national discussion on justice system integration by providing information about emerging technologies, standards, successful approaches to project management, protocols for requirements analysis documentation, and other vital issues. A central premise of the group is that fostering public/private partnerships helps improve the quality of justice information systems by improving the relationships between vendors and agencies on important issues such as price, scope, delivery, and implementation.
International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP)
IACP is the world's oldest and largest nonprofit membership organization of police executives, with over 18,000 members in over 100 different countries. IACP's leadership consists of the operating chief executives of local, state, federal, and international agencies of all sizes.
Justice Information Sharing Practitioners Network (JISP Net)
As a network of state, tribal, and local justice and public safety information sharing practitioners, JISP is committed to increasing local, regional, and national sharing of justice information through peer collaboration and facilitation. JISP improves the capacity and management of information sharing efforts nationwide by facilitating communication among justice technology practitioners and managers, sharing resources, offering training and technical assistance, and providing guidance and direction regarding standards and model approaches.

Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCC)
Fifty-seven major law enforcement organizations comprise the membership of MCC. The Association was formed as a forum to discuss organizational issues relevant to large police organizations. The MCC now includes suburban police departments, large metropolitan sheriff's departments, and larger departments in Canada.
National Association for Court Management (NACM)
NACM devotes itself exclusively to addressing court management issues in federal, state, and local courts.
NLETS - The International Justice & Public Safety Network
NLETS - The International Justice & Public Safety Network was created by the principal law enforcement agencies of the states. Over time the role of NLETS has evolved from being primarily an interstate telecommunications service for law enforcement to a more broad-based network servicing the justice community at the local, state, tribal, and federal levels.
National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG)
NAAG was founded to help Attorneys General fulfill the responsibilities of their office and to assist in the delivery of high-quality legal services to the states and territorial jurisdictions. NAAG fosters an environment of cooperative leadership, helping Attorneys General respond effectively--individually and collectively--to emerging state and federal issues.
National Association of Counties (NACo)
NACo acts as a liaison with other levels of government, works to improve public understanding of counties, serves as a national advocate for counties, and provides them with resources to help them find innovative methods to meet the challenges they face.
National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO)
NASCIO represents state chief information officers and information resource executives and managers from the 50 states, six U.S. territories and the District of Columbia. State members are senior officials from any of the three branches of state government that have executive-level and statewide responsibility for information resource management.
National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO)
NASPO is a non-profit association dedicated to strengthening the procurement community through education, research, and communication. It is made up of the directors of the central purchasing offices in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the territories of the United States.
National Center for State Courts (NCSC)
NCSC helps courts improve the administration of justice and service to the public by offering quality products and services to meet both the current and future needs of the state court community.
National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL)
NCSL is dedicated to improving the quality and effectiveness of state legislatures, fostering interstate communication and cooperation, and ensuring legislatures a strong, cohesive voice in the federal system.
National Congress of American Indians (NCAI)
NCAI is the oldest and largest tribal government organization in the United States. NCAI serves as a forum for consensus-based policy development among its membership of over 250 tribal governments from every region of the country. NCAI's mission is to inform the public and the federal government on tribal self-government, treaty rights, and a broad range of federal policy issues affecting tribal governments.
National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ)
NCJFCJ is dedicated to serving the nation's children and families by improving the courts of juvenile and family jurisdictions. NCJFCJ's mission is to better the justice system through education and applied research and to improve the standards, practices, and effectiveness of the juvenile court system.
National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA)
NCJA, as the Washington-based association representing state, tribal, and local criminal and juvenile justice decision makers and policy makers, works to promote a balanced approach to communities’ complex public safety, criminal and juvenile justice system problems. The core constituency of NCJA is made up of the chief executive officers of state criminal justice administering agencies. The NCJA staff delivers TTA through a number of programs supported by federal and state agencies, local jurisdictions, and resources generated from NCJA activities and member support. NCJA staff possesses a wide range of subject matter expertise relevant to assessing, delivering and evaluating TTA needs. Moreover, through NCJA members and staff activities at the national level, the NCJA staff has direct access to stakeholders and organizations representing those stakeholders from all components of the criminal justice enterprise.
National District Attorneys Association (NDAA)
NDAA is the largest, national professional organization specifically serving the needs of prosecutors in the United States. NDAA represents the interests of the prosecutors from major metropolitan areas, as well as rural communities.
National Governors Association (NGA)
NGA provides governors and their senior staff members with services that range from representation on Capitol Hill on key federal issues to developing policy reports on innovative state programs. NGA also hosts networking seminars for state government executive branch officials.
National Legal Aid and Defender Association (NLADA)
NLADA exists as an advocate for front-line attorneys and other justice professionals. Representing legal aid and defender programs, NLADA provides products and services and is a national voice in public policy and legislative debates on the many issues affecting these communities.
National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE)
NOBLE is a public service organization that is at the forefront of providing solutions to law enforcement issues and concerns, as well as to the ever changing needs of communities.
National Sheriffs' Association (NSA)
NSA is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising the level of professionalism among those in the criminal justice field. Through the years, NSA has been involved in numerous programs to enable sheriffs, deputies, chiefs of police, and others in the field of criminal justice to perform their jobs in the best possible manner and to better serve the people of their jurisdictions.
National States Geographic Information Councils (NSGIC)
NSGIC is an organization of states committed to efficient and effective government through the prudent adoption of information technology.
National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C)
NW3C provides a nationwide support system for state and local enforcement agencies involved in the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of economic and high-tech crimes, and support and partnerships with other appropriate entities in addressing homeland security initiatives, as they relate to economic and high-tech crimes. This mission is accomplished through no-cost services, including: financial investigations and cyber crime training, investigative support, research, and information resources.
Police Executive Research Forum (PERF)
PERF is a national membership organization of police executives from the largest city, county, and state law enforcement agencies. PERF's activities focus on the organization's overall goal of improving policing and advancing professionalism through research and involvement in public policy debate.
SEARCH, The National Consortium for Justice Information and Statistics
SEARCH, The National Consortium for Justice Information and Statistics, is a nonprofit membership organization created by and for the states, which is dedicated to improving the criminal justice system through the effective application of information and identification technology. Its primary objective has been to identify and help solve the information management problems of state and local justice agencies confronted with the need to exchange information.
