Strategies for Policing Innovation

This program, which augments the Project Safe Neighborhoods program, provides resources and opportunities to enable police agencies to identify and define their most pressing crime problems and institute lasting operational and organizational changes that foster reliance on and effective use of evidence-based practices, data, and technology. Strategies for Policing Innovation National Training and Technical Assistance Program
BJA has released the FY 2019 Strategies for Policing Innovation (SPI) National Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Program opportunity. SPI TTA provides resources and opportunities to enable police agencies to identify and define their most pressing crime problems and institute lasting operational and organizational changes that foster reliance on and effective use of evidence-based practices, data, and technology. Public Safety Partnership National Training and Technical Assistance Program
The FY 2019 Public Safety Partnership National Training and Technical Assistance Program, which augments the Project Safe Neighborhoods Program, supports the provision of training and technical assistance to adjacent jurisdictions surrounding cities selected to participate in the Public Safety Partnership and smaller/rural agencies who have a violent crime problem. Innovative Prosecution Solutions for Combating Violent Crime
BJA has released the FY 2019 Innovative Prosecution Solutions for Combating Violent Crime funding opportunity. The purpose of this program is to provide state, local, and tribal prosecutors with information, resources, and training and technical assistance to develop effective strategies and programs to address and prosecute individuals who commit violent crime. Supporting Innovation: Field-Initiated Programs to Improve Officer and Public Safety
Part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Suite of programs, the FY 2018 Supporting Innovation: Field-Initiated Programs to Improve Officer and Public Safety solicitation invites state, local and tribal law enforcement, prosecutors, and other criminal justice practitioners to pilot, assess, and implement original approaches that target emerging or chronic crime problems facing the country and placing our officers and public at risk. Local Law Enforcement Crime Gun Intelligence Center Integration Initiative
BJA has released the FY 2018 Local Law Enforcement Crime Gun Intelligence Center Integration Initiative solicitation. Part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods Suite of programs, this initiative assists law enforcement in responding to violent crime and working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to utilize intelligence, technology, and community engagement to swiftly identify crime guns, their sources, and effectively prosecute perpetrators. Technology Innovation for Public Safety (TIPS) Addressing Precipitous Increases in Crime
The FY 2018 Technology Innovation for Public Safety (TIPS) solicitation is now available. Through this program, BJA is seeking applications for the implementation of innovative and replicable projects that combat precipitous increases in crime, with an emphasis on addressing violent crime, human trafficking, and the opioid crisis. Innovative Prosecution Solutions Funding Available
BJA has released the FY 2018 Innovative Prosecution Solutions for Combating Violent Crime and Illegal Opioids solicitation. The purpose of this program is to provide state, local, and tribal prosecutors with information, resources, and training and technical assistance to develop effective strategies and programs to address violent crime and prosecute individuals responsible for homicides caused by illegal opioids.
