Violence prevention

The Project Safe Neighborhoods Program brings together federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial law enforcement officials, prosecutors, community-based partners, and other stakeholders to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in a community and develop comprehensive solutions to address them.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to support state, local, and tribal jurisdictions as they develop or expand their ability to utilize crime gun intelligence by equipping them with the tools and personnel they need.

This program provides funding for the creation and/or implementation of extreme risk protection order programs, state crisis intervention court proceedings, and related programs/initiatives.

This program provides funding for state and local prosecutors and local law enforcement agencies who have participated in the National Public Safety Partnership to secure resources that will help reduce crime and increase public safety and trust in the criminal justice system.

This program provides for the development, operation, and management of a training and technical assistance program for justice-focused community-based organizations directly serving communities disproportionately impacted by crime, violence, and victimization.

This program is designed to assist jurisdictions in addressing hate crimes and to assist victims and communities that are facing an increase in hate crimes.

This program is designed to improve school safety by providing students, teachers, and staff with the tools they need to recognize, respond quickly to, and prevent acts of violence.

Through this opportunity, the Office of Justice Programs seeks to prevent and reduce violent crime in communities by supporting comprehensive, evidence-based community-based violence intervention and prevention programs.

This program supports small and rural agencies in their efforts to combat violent crime through the implementation of a comprehensive violent crime reduction strategy.
