Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2011, $150,000)
The National Sheriffs Association (NSA) will create and provide law enforcement agencies and community partners with resources and local training to educate and bring awareness to the issue of Human Trafficking. Human Trafficking has been a silent growing problem in communities across America. NSA will enhance its programming by developing a new Toolkit module that will address community awareness and reporting of Human Trafficking in the United States. The Human Trafficking toolkits will be disseminated via facilitated training and technical assistance activities; community event outreach; and information dissemination via the usaonwatch.org website.
