With this solicitation, BJA seeks to provide jurisdictions with resources to address unsubmitted sexual assault kits, improve investigations and prosecutions, provide sites with resources to collect DNA samples from qualifying individuals, and more.

This program provides funding to eligible entities to expand upon the reporting, transportation, processing, and identification of missing persons and unidentified human remains cases in their jurisdictions, including migrants.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to fund improvements to forensic science and medical examiner/coroner services, including services provided by laboratories operated by states and units of local government. This solicitation is only for competitive funds.

This solicitation is only for state administering agencies applying for formula funds.

The goal of this opportunity is to assist eligible states and units of local government with existing crime laboratories that conduct DNA analysis to process, and/or to increase the capacity to process, more DNA samples for entry into the Combined DNA Index System by publicly funded forensic DNA and DNA database laboratories.

Funding under this program is to increase the capacity of publicly funded forensic DNA laboratories to conduct analysis of crime scene samples for entry into CODIS.
