FY 2021 Smart Probation: Innovations in Supervision Initiative

This program provides funding to state, local, and tribal community corrections agencies to improve supervision capacity to prevent recidivism and reduce crime in their jurisdictions.
2020 Tribal Probation Academy
During this comprehensive and interactive training academy, participants will build foundational skills; examine traditional, evidence-based, victim-centered and trauma informed approaches to community supervision; practice techniques in mock interviews, scenarios and team exercises; and more.
Community Supervision Strategies
This grant program seeks to enhance community supervision agencies’ capacity to help reduce recidivism among, and improve outcomes for, people under supervision by using the swift, certain, and/or fair principles of intervention.
