Lauren Gonzalez from BJA’s Body-Worn Camera Team interviews Executive Director Adam Rosenberg from the Baltimore Child Abuse Center in Maryland to discuss privacy and other concerns around BWCs involving juveniles whether they are suspects, witnesses, or victims. The discussion explores the challenges around recording juveniles and the potential effects on them. Adam Rosenberg contributed to the BJA Expert Panel on Body Worn Cameras that helped form the BJA National Body-Worn Camera Toolkit.
The Office for Victims of Crime and BJA conducted this optional pre-application webinar to review solicitation requirements and answer questions about the OJP FY 2020 Enhanced Collaborative Model Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking solicitation.
The purpose of this solicitation is to select a set of coordinated training and technical assistance (TTA) providers to deliver a wide range of TTA services to local, state, and tribal jurisdictions, service providers receiving funding under the Enhanced Collaborative Model Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking Program and others as identified by OJP.
Through this opportunity, BJA and the Office for Victims of Crime are seeking applications to develop or support multidisciplinary task forces to combat human trafficking.
BJA is seeking applications for funding through the FY 2020 Northern and Middle States Rural Law Enforcement Training and Technical Assistance Grant Program.
This program will provide resources, training and technical assistance to smaller, rural and tribal law enforcement agencies located in the northern and middle states of the United States to support their efforts to reduce violent crime, including drug-related crime and human trafficking.
