Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery Nomination Required Information
The Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery (CBOB) nomination period is now open. Nominations are due by February 15, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. (ET). The Attorney General may award, and a Member of Congress or the Attorney General may present, in the name of Congress the CBOB to a federal, state, or local law enforcement officer who is cited by the Attorney General, upon the recommendation of the Federal, or the State and Local Board, for performing an act of bravery while in the line of duty.

Prior to beginning a nomination, nominators are encouraged to review the Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery Frequently Asked Questions to ensure that the nominee and/or event meet the requirements for the Congressional Badge of Bravery.
To be considered for the CBOB:
- An online nomination must be completed and submitted via the CBOB nomination system.
