Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program
This program supports state, local, and tribal efforts to plan, implement, and enhance the operations of adult drug courts, which are specialized dockets and coordinated approaches that address the needs of nonviolent justice-involved individuals with substance use disorders.

Center for Research Partnerships and Program Evaluation (CRPPE)
CRPPE provides information on practitioner-researcher partnerships, performance measures, logic models, program evaluation, and more to devise solutions to improve the quality, quantity, and equity of criminal justice and public safety services.
Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative
This initiative seeks to prevent and reduce violent crime in communities by supporting comprehensive, evidence-based violence intervention and prevention programs based on partnerships among community residents, local government agencies, victim service providers, community-based organizations, law enforcement, hospitals, researchers, and other community stakeholders.
Community Courts Program
This program supports state, local, and federally recognized Indian tribal governments to establish and enhance community courts, which are neighborhood-focused court programs that combine the power of the community and the justice system to address local problems.
Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Program (COSSAP)
Formerly the Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Program (COAP), COSSAP’s purpose is to provide financial and technical assistance to states, units of local government, and Indian tribal governments to develop, implement, or expand comprehensive efforts to identify, respond to, treat, and support those impacted by illicit opioids, stimulants and other drugs of abuse.
Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding (CESF) Program
The Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding (CESF) Program provided funding to assist eligible states, local units of government, and tribes in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the coronavirus.
Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC) Initiative
Administered by BJA in partnership with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the CGIC Initiative encourages local jurisdictions to work with their local ATF crime gun intelligence centers to collectively leverage their intelligence, technology, and community engagement.
Death in Custody Reporting Act (DCRA) Data Collection
The Death in Custody Reporting Act requires states to report information regarding the death of any person who is either detained, under arrest, in the process of being arrested, en route to be incarcerated, or incarcerated.
Defense Procurement Fraud Debarment (DPFD) Clearinghouse
The DPFD Clearinghouse is the single point of contact for contractors or subcontractors of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to promptly confirm whether potential employees have been convicted of fraud or any other felony arising out of a contract with DoD.
Denial of Federal Benefits (DFB) Program
The DFB Program provides state and federal courts—as part of the sentencing process—with the ability to deny all or selected federal benefits to individuals who are convicted of drug trafficking or drug possession.
DNA Capacity Enhancement for Backlog Reduction (CEBR) Program
This program assists states and units of local government with existing crime laboratories to increase the capacity of public forensic DNA and DNA database laboratories to process more DNA samples for the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Combined DNA Index System.
Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program
The JAG Program provides states, tribes, and local governments with critical funding necessary to support a range of program areas including law enforcement, prosecution, indigent defense, courts, crime prevention and education, corrections and community corrections, drug treatment and enforcement, planning, evaluation, technology improvement, and crime victim and witness initiatives and mental health programs and related law enforcement and corrections programs, including behavioral programs and crisis intervention teams.
Emmett Till Cold Case Investigations and Prosecution Program
This program supports efforts by state, local, and tribal law enforcement and prosecution agencies, working with their partners, in the investigation and prosecution of unsolved cold case homicides suspected of having been racially motivated.
Encouraging Innovation: Field-Initiated Programs
The Field-Initiated Program serves to support national, regional, state, local and tribal focused projects that develop and implement new strategies that better equip criminal justice systems to prevent and respond to emerging and chronic crime problems plaguing communities throughout the country.

Innovations in Reentry Initiative
Innovations in Reentry Initiative (IRI) seeks to improve the capacity and effectiveness of state, local and tribal jurisdictions to identify innovative ways to increase the success rates of individuals returning to their communities and reduce the number of crimes committed by those recently returning.
