This program seeks to increase access to evidence-based prevention and treatment, reduce overdose deaths, and support increased access to evidence-based substance use disorder treatment and recovery support services, including medication-assisted treatment, to treat incarcerated individuals.
This program provides funding to establish, expand, or improve treatment and recovery support services for people with substance use disorders during their incarceration and upon reentry into the community.
This program assists states with developing and implementing residential substance use disorder treatment programs within state correctional facilities, as well as within local correctional and detention facilities, in which persons are incarcerated for a period of time sufficient to permit substance use disorder treatment.
Funding through this opportunity will be used to provide training and technical assistance to grantees and practitioners to improve correctional substance use disorder treatment programming and post-release outcomes for individuals who are incarcerated.
