The VALOR program is an effort to improve the immediate and long-term safety, wellness, and resilience of our Nation’s law enforcement officers.

Through this opportunity, BJA is seeking applications to plan, implement, and enhance drug court services, including service coordination, management of drug court participants, and recovery support services.

This program provides funding for projects designed to prevent, detect, and respond to sexual abuse and sexual harassment in confinement facilities, and to achieve and maintain compliance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards.

The purpose of this initiative is to support local and tribal jurisdictions’ capacity to work with their Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives partners to utilize intelligence, technology, and community engagement to swiftly identify unlawfully used firearms and their sources, and effectively prosecute perpetrators engaged in violent crime.

Through this opportunity, BJA is seeking applications for funding state, local, and tribal governments to enhance or implement performance-based and outcomes-based contracts with reentry, permanent supportive housing, or recovery housing providers to reduce recidivism and address the substance use disorders impacting formerly incarcerated people.

This opportunity will provide funding to deliver training and technical assistance on strategies to strengthen tribal correctional system capacity to enhance public safety and facilitate successful community reintegration efforts.

This program brings talent and expertise from the field to BJA to inform policy and practice and create new tools for the field that disseminate knowledge of effective and innovative approaches to priority criminal justice issues.

This program will identify up to four TTA providers to identify these types of crimes and provide training on how investigations and prosecution should be handled, as well as on how communities can be made aware of their vulnerability to fall victim to crimes involving the improper use of the Internet of Things (IoT).

BJA seeks a training and technical assistance (TTA) provider and subject matter experts to help state correctional agencies implement changes to their trainings, policies, and practices to reduce their use of restrictive housing.

This program is designed to improve K-12 school security by providing students and teachers with the tools they need to recognize, respond quickly to, and help prevent acts of violence and ensure a positive school climate.
